Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation: A Commitment to Solidarity in Service of Future Generations
On 10 June 2025 in Lyon, Jean-Claude Lavorel, CEO of the Lavorel Hotels Group, officially launched the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation. This personal initiative affirms his commitment to two major causes: the fight against cancer and support for children.
True to his values of solidarity, Jean-Claude Lavorel is thereby strengthening actions already well embedded in the operations of the Lavorel Hotels Group. This new structural framework aims to ensure the long-term continuity of these commitments and to amplify their impact.

Two Key Priorities for Meaningful Action
The Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation focuses its efforts on two essential areas:
- Cancer, by supporting research, prevention, and care initiatives.
- Children, by helping disadvantaged youngsters through educational, social, and humanitarian projects.
Committed Partnerships
Numerous tangible actions are already being carried out by the foundation or by the Lavorel Hotels Group, in collaboration with grassroots organisations:
- Centre Léon Bérard: support for this leading cancer treatment and research centre in Lyon, notably through a fundraising charity dinner.
- Ma Chance Moi Aussi: organising events that provide a welcoming environment for children from underprivileged backgrounds.
- Noël Ensemble: co-organising a festive Christmas Eve celebration for isolated elderly individuals, hosted at one of the group’s hotels.
- 2500 Voix: support for this association dedicated to paediatric cancer, including participation in their annual charity gala.
- SapoCycle: collaboration with this organisation that recycles used hotel soaps, transforming them for redistribution to vulnerable populations.
Additional one-off initiatives have also been carried out with organisations such as Handicap International, L’Enfant Bleu, Wine Charity Event, and Café Joyeux, an inclusive enterprise based in Lyon.
